Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED HS diploma, GED or equivalent (Required)
Functional Accountabilities
Clinical Support
- Provide assistance to the physical and occupational therapists during individual or group therapy sessions.
- Provide whirlpool under the supervision of a PT.
- Assist with the fabrication of adaptive equipment and splints including casts, DAFOs, aquaplast splints and face masks.
- Transport patients to therapy department in accordance with hospital and departmental policies.
Operational Support
- Prepare treatment areas for patient care by cleaning mats, set up equipment and filling whirlpools.
- Clean all equipment and hydrotherapy tanks after patient usage per department policy.
- Maintain established levels of supplies including linens, crutches and small medical supplies.
- Assist with inventory of equipment and supplies, ordering replacements, when necessary
Administrative
- Complete paycard, patient schedule and billing in an accurate and timely manner.
- Complete all assignments and provide appropriate departmental operational input as requested.
Safety/Risk Management
- Maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a manner conducive to efficiency and safety .
- Adhere to all safety and isolation patient care policies.
